Who we are
Kenmac Associates Ltd is responsible for the personal information we use to handle website enquiries. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 05589502. Our registered office is Tower House, 269 Walmersley Road, Bury, Lancashire, BL9 6NX.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@kenmacassociates.co.uk, call 0800 012 9233, or write to our registered office.
Information we receive
If you contact us, we receive the details you choose to provide, such as your name, company, email address, telephone number, enquiry and subsequent correspondence. Please avoid including sensitive personal information or details about other people unless necessary.
The enquiry form prepares a message in your own email application. Typing into the form does not submit your details to Kenmac. We receive the message only when you send it. Your email provider also processes that message under its own arrangements.
Why we use information
We use enquiry information to respond, understand your requirements, prepare proposals and manage our business relationship. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in communicating with prospective clients and business contacts. Where you are personally entering a contract with us, we may also use information to take steps at your request before that contract or to perform it. We use information where necessary to meet legal obligations, and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
This website does not sign you up to a newsletter or make automated decisions about you. Providing enquiry details is voluntary, but we need enough information to reply.
Website hosting, fonts and traffic information
This site is hosted through OpenAI’s ChatGPT Sites. The hosting service processes technical request information to deliver and protect the website and provides visitor and page-view statistics. Technical information can include your IP address, browser information, requested pages and access times. We use website information for our legitimate interests in maintaining a secure, effective website and understanding its use.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google to retrieve them, which shares technical information including your IP address. Google explains this in its Google Fonts privacy information. See also OpenAI’s privacy policy for its handling of platform information.
Cookies and external links
We have not added advertising pixels, social-media embeds or optional tracking cookies to this website. The enquiry form does not save its contents in browser storage. Hosting-platform security or session technologies may operate separately from our page code. Browser settings let you manage cookies and site data.
Our LinkedIn and other external links take you to separate websites. Their privacy and cookie policies apply when you visit them. If we introduce optional tracking technologies requiring consent, we will provide the relevant information and choice before they operate.
Who may receive information
Relevant members of our team and service providers supporting our hosting, email and IT may process information to provide their services. We may disclose information to professional advisers, insurers or public authorities where necessary for advice, legal claims or a legal obligation. We do not sell enquiry information.
Some technology providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the UK. Where we arrange a restricted international transfer, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate contractual safeguards must be in place. Contact us for details of safeguards relevant to your information.
How long information is kept
We retain enquiries for as long as needed to respond and manage any resulting business relationship. Retention depends on whether an enquiry becomes a project, applicable contractual and statutory requirements, and the need to resolve complaints or legal claims. Information should be deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed. Hosting and email providers also apply their own service retention arrangements. You can contact us about the retention of a particular enquiry.
Your rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights are subject to legal conditions.
Contact us using the details above to exercise your rights or raise a concern. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the website or our information-handling arrangements change. The date above shows the latest revision. This notice covers website visits and enquiries; additional information may be provided for client projects, recruitment or other activities.
